Last weeks test 177 range 50-150 said to be abnormal. I remember some posts about newer thoughts on higher levels being better. Is this too high?

Its possible to have too much vit D which can cause problems so better to er on the safe side and you have room to drop how much you are taking and still be in the optimal range which is said to be 100-150.

Optimal level is 100 - 150 nmol/L or 40-60 ng/mL. Yours looks like nmol/L - but do make sure to pay attention to units of measure.

The important thing about Vitamin D is that it is not water soluble (it’s fat soluble). This means that you don’t excrete (pee out) excess. So you do want to stay within range for this one.
