Please Vote in the GE

I hope this post isnt violating any forum rules, I'm just urging people to vote in the GE, we have a sizeable cohort who dont, for whatever reason but if you are someone who normally doesnt then please consider voting.

You can register to vote until June 18 on your local council website. Have your NI number handy. Please also encourage family, friends, colleagues, neighbours, especially young people to vote. Young people should be the most invested as its their future yet traditionally they have some of the lowest turnout.

If you vote in person you will need photo ID, driving licence, passport and some others are acceptable like a blue badge. A full list is available on gov.uk. Or you can request a voter authority certificate via the same website, its free. Or you can apply for a postal vote where no ID is required.

Its quite a shocking statistic but around 34% of UK residents dont vote which is more than those who voted either Conservative or Labour. Please dont be one of the 34% this time around, make a difference and vote.
