A list of thyroid -friendly endos (NHS and private) can be requested by contacting TUK:

As members may contact you with recommendations, I will close your post to replies. It may be helpful to edit your post first, to say which area you live in.

With any recommendation that you get, it is advisable to complete further research yourself before making a decision.

It is a good idea to have thyroid blood tests (TSH, FT4 and FT3) alongside key vitamins (ferritin, folate, B12 and vit D) prior to your appointment. This allows you to discuss the results with the endo at the first meeting.

You can test at home with a finger prick test kit or travel to places that offer a blood draw at extra cost.

See the Thyroid UK list of blood test companies here with discount codes: thyroiduk.org/testing/priva...

Alternatively there are other companies such as Randox or OneDayTests.

So we can offer better advice, I recommend you start a new post/ update your bio/ profile to tell us more about your thyroid condition, eg when you were diagnosed, ongoing symptoms, current medication & dosage, plus blood test results (with ranges in brackets) for:

TSH

FT3

FT4

Plus any antibody and key vitamin tests (ferritin, folate, vitamins D and B12)

If your GP is unable to complete all the above (eg if TSH is within range, some surgeries may not be able to access FT4 and FT3 tests), you could look to do this privately, as many forum members do, for a better picture of your thyroid health:
