Blister Pack Access problems

does anyone know who i should be approaching to get the Levothyroxine blister packs improved .

as many will know the pills are very tiny and the manufacturer has locked them up safely behind dispensing blister packs that are almost impossible to access without a struggle.

I have approached my pharmacy but they have no useful advice other than request for an unnecessary blister pack service - at extra cost to the NHS .

I find that popping them from underneath at the very edge nearly always makes them pop up properly. If I press too centrally they can get stuck.

You can buy a gadget to help pop them out. Search for blister pack pill popper.

Hi robinbear,

I'm not sure if there's a charge? But I believe that some chemist's offer a service where your tablets can be sorted out for you and organised into some kind of dispenser (so no blister packs to deal with!)

Apologies for being vague as I have no idea what it's called or how reliable it is. Also you may not want that much intervention but could be an option?

Hope you find a solution? 🙂
