Hi, I've tried to work this out for myself but have just confused!
TSH 2.24 mIU/L
Free T4 (fT4) 17.7 pmol/L
Free T3 (fT3) 4.2 pmol/L
T4:T3 Ratio 4.214 (from online calc on here)
These are some results I got from medichecks a few months ago, I didn't do anything about it as they all said normal and I have no antibodies. Thyroglobulin 10.2 peroxidase less than 9
However, I have had so many persistent symptoms that indicate hypothyroidism and I'm always getting comments on my "puffy" neck. It looks like I possibly have a goiter. Can see it in photos.
I am 41 and can't lose weight no matter how hard I try too. My heart rate is on the slow side and I am always cold.
Are my results perfectly fine though? Just wondering whether should bother with GPs or not.
Thank you for your help

Sorry, just seen about meds. I'm not on anything at all as decided to get private tests done first then visit GP if needed, but the medichecks results said I was in the normal range so I didn't do anything.
Yes, well, they would say that. But the Medicheck doctors are not thyroid experts, they are just common or garden GPs. And common or garden GPs tend to know nothing about thyroid.
What's more, if all they can tell you after all those years in med school is that your results are 'in-range', then it was a bit of waste of tax payers money! Anyone can see that. But what they don't understand is that it's where within the range that the results fall that counts. And your TSH is not 'normal'. A 'normal' (euthyroid) TSH would be around 1. Over two it shows that your thyroid is struggling. And your Frees are low. So, could be the beginings of a thyroid problem, or it could just be a blip. Only time with tell.
One negative antibody test does not conclusively rule out Autoimmune Thyroiditis because antibodies fluctuate all the time. On a second or third test they could be positive. What's more, a certain percentage of Hashi's people never even have over-range antibodies, and are diagnosed by ultrasound.
Symptoms often start long before you see any anomalies in blood test results. So, given those results, plus your goitre, I think you need to keep a close eye on your thyroid, retesting from time to time. But no point in going to your GP with these results because they would just say the same thing as the Medicheck doctors: everything is in range. Sigh.
Contact [ doctor name and clinic redacted ] I have booked in. I have very similar results to you and my gp is saying normal but I have cold hands & feet hair loss nail breakage vertical splitting flaking terrible fatigue and can't lose weight. Hope this info helps. It's not easy finding someone qualified to help.
