Hi, ive eaten quite a lot of peanuts and have had upset tummy, aches and pains, little to no energy, quite similar to a thyroid flare. I know peanuts contain lectin, Could this be why im feeling awful?

I think consuming too many peanuts can certainly cause stomach issues, so I would certainly lay off them for a while. Some think that dry roasting peanuts may reduce lectin content, but other studies disagree. Interesting that ‘nightshades’ also contain lectin, so studies suggest these are best cooked if eating large amounts. healthline.com/nutrition/fo...

I know that nuts keep me healthy I eat them every day. I take them out it going away. 2 Brazils, 2 whole walnuts, 5/6 almonds. My father ate them too that's where I get the daily habit from.

You have probably eaten just too many peanuts, especially if you don't eat them on a regular basis. My friends don't call me ( nutty) for nothing.
