Where is T4 levothyroxine tablet broken down in the body. Is it in the stomach or small intestine or both?
I am on antibiotics at the moment and have had stomach upset today and diarrhoea, and this is the reason for my question and whether it has affected absorption of the tablet I took my tablet at 7 am and waited two hours until I took liquid antibiotics. No food between only coffee.
I have got some liquid T4 and wondered would this help while I am taking antibiotics and the disruption they cause? (I do prefer tablet form normally)
Thank you for any advice people may be able to give.

I take NDT sublingually. Was taking t3 that way but was disgusting. Munich based daughters gut issues are worse than mine & she uses drops- less interference.
I found out by accident btw. Had loads of tests & was better on NDT but taking same sublingually was like rocket fuel.
