Thyroid and stomach issues

Hi everyone,I have been on Levothyroxine for 4 years, I just switched to Tirosent medication 6 months ago. I have struggled with Diverticulitis and HPlori. The Dr keeps putting me on Protonix (Proton Pump Inhibitor) until yesterday, I was told to go off it and take Amoxicillin and Metronidazole. This happens a lot over the past 2 years. I have anxiety which can cause diverticulitis flare ups, stomach cramps, nausea, chills, bloating but my thyroid isn't helping and I would like to start on Armour thyroid. I'm probably premenopausal, my estrogen is high at times on some labs.

There are a few things to deal with here so I appreciate any information you all have! Do any of you deal with these symptoms? I'll try to post more often so I don't have so many questions at one time.

Thank you.

Gut issues are common if on inadequate replacement thyroid hormone

What are your most recent thyroid and vitamin results and ranges

How much levothyroxine are you taking

Approximately how much do you weigh in kilo

What vitamin supplements are you taking

Recommended that all thyroid blood tests early morning, ideally just before 9am, only drink water between waking and test and last dose levothyroxine 24 hours before test

This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip)

For full Thyroid evaluation you need TSH, FT4 and FT3 tested

Very important to test folate, ferritin and B12 at least once year minimum

ideally vitamin D test twice year

Hi,I am 63 kilos, I take 75mcg of Tirosent. I have never fasted before taking thyroid labs but I will next time. I will have to look up my thyroid labs, the Dr said they were normal but I will double check and get back to you.

High MCH and MCV both linked to low B12 and folate

Get these tested plus ferritin and vitamin D

Your sodium and potassium are rather low, which won't help anything.

My Dr told me to put himilaya salt in my water due to low blood pressure. Is that not quite enough?

Well, depends how much you're putting in? Have you started doing that yet? Personally, I don't think I'd like to drink salt water. But you could put it in orange juice and add a bit of cream of tartar for the potassium. That's what we call an Adrenal Cocktail. It's not good for your adrenals to be low on sodium, so it'll give them a lift, and if your cortisol is low too, it'll make you feel better. :)

I've been drinking salt water for months. I'll try the adrenal cocktail! Thanks!
