Test enquiry

Good Morning, I’m due to see a new Endo on 27th. Seeing GP tomorrow, going to request tests so I have them ready for Endo. I’d like to know what you would recommend as being a full panel of tests please. I’m on T3 & T4. Thank you

I'd use it as a lever to try and get as many tests as you can! Full iron panel, liver, folate, Vit D, B12, ferritin, HbA1C, calcium, cholesterol... kidney function

The endo is still only likely to take any notice of the TSH and possibly fT4 and I'd be surprised if the GP can get them to test fT3 regardless of the fact you are taking it 😕

I can get T3 tested just unsure if reverse T3 & T4 has to be requested?

Not sure the NHS are even capable of testing these and aren't much use?

There is no reverse t4 test. There is a reverse t3 test but the nhs can't do it.
