I got more blood tests. The GP got it slightly wrong in that my hair is not coarse, it’s thin and falling out and I have significant slow pulse rate 40-50bpm.
The GP was concerned about the low white cell and asked me to repeat and I got the results back yesterday and told - all normal but I don’t have the print out yet. GO reluctant to increase my levothyroxine despite bradychardia and all my other symptoms.
Anyway I was hoping someone might have an idea or suggestion about this. I haven’t got private tests yet but I am organising those. Although I don’t hold out much hope of them influencing GP decision as she only goes by TSH which as per my last post is according to GP - in normal range
Thanks very much in advance for any insights and when I get the private bloods I’ll update again

Sorry, impossible to read those results. Writing too small and page creased.

Well, this is the problem, isn't it. They announce that your result is in the 'normal' range, like a magician pulling a rabbit from a hat, and haven't a clue that that is not the point! The ranges are too wide, so just being in-range is meaningless. It's where the result falls within the range that counts. And, for goodness sakes, you don't have to spend seven years in med school just to be able to see if a set of numbers are in-range or not! Bit of a waste of seven years if that's all you can come up with. They just don't understand how to interpret blood test results, yet aren't interested in anything else. It's pathetic.
Thanks Grey goose - it’s so frustrating cos all the while I feel unwell and so fatigued it’s been going on for ages between repeat tests and awaiting results.
It’s such obvious hypo symptoms I really can’t fathom why I can’t get an increase from my existing tiny dose. But here we are
Because doctors know nothing about symptoms, nor how being hypo affects people's lives, and just want to take the easy way out and look at the TSH. If that is anywhere within the range they say there's nothing wrong, and your symptoms must be due to 'something else' - usually mental health problems, because that way they can palm you off on a psy and be rid of you! They just want to make life easy for themselves and to hell with the patients!
