Percent of range

Since your group likes to go by percent of range could you tell me an example of what makes a good balance on free t4, free t3 and tsh. Should they all fall around 50 percent of the range being used for your particular lab?

We tend to use percentages as it makes results from different lab ranges easier to compare

TSH would be 5-20%

fT3 65-85%

fT4 70-90%

So maybe somewhere in these ranges for many, though as with everything some like them a little higher and others a little lower as sweet spots are completely individual

Thankyou so much. I currently don't know my ft3 and my ft4 is only 35 percent. I feel quite bad and fighting for a dose increase.

If your GP is no good perhaps time for a change or ask for a referral to Endo?

35% fT4 s not going to make anyone feel well 😟

Hi. This leads inevitably to the question of how does the lab arrive at a 'normal' level and how is the range determined?

Best wishes
