Wildgeese,

Yes, the figures on the right of the page are the lab ref ranges.

Strange thyroid results. It's unusual to have TSH 10.45 with FT4 19 which is in the upper range and FT3 3.2 is low in range. Was Levothyroxine dose reduced in October? What has your GP said about the new results?

B12 is over range. Not a problem if you are supplementing as excess is excreted in urine but can indicate underlying illness if you are not supplementing.

Folate is okay.

I commented on your iron and ferritin on your previous post.

in reply toClutter

Yes was reduced because t4 was 26.3 told to take 100 t4 mon we’d fri t3 stopped in September. I was supplementing vit b but stopped few weeks before test

Thanks c

Wildgeese,

Well it's gone pear shaped now. Looks to me like you need FT4 over range to deliver FT3. It would be better for T3 to be reinstated in addition to your current Levothyroxine dose.

in reply toClutter

So I would have been better to stay slightly over with t4 . Hopefully when I get delivery of t3 it wil go back I will stay on 100 t4 every day

Wildgeese,

What's your GP said about the TSH 10.45?

in reply toClutter

To stay 100 t4 every day retest 8 weeks

Wildgeese,

Doesn't understand why TSH has shot up either, :) Fair enough, but I don't see why you shouldn't have a retest in 4 weeks to see whether TSH is responding.

in reply toClutter

I don’t know what to make of it

I’m not waiting 8 weeks I will make app in couple weeks

Do you think it’s mabe because they keep changing my dose

Wildgeese,

It wouldn't explain such high TSH with FT4 in the upper range.

in reply toClutter

God knows . Hopefully it’s nothing else wrong 🙁

in reply toClutter

Mabe because ft4 was 26 could it be slow to drop would that tsh make u feel ill I find myself dragging around as if I can’t get enough air

Wildgeese,

No, TSH doesn't make you feel anything, it simply responds to low FT4 or FT3. It will be low FT3 making you feel ill.

in reply toClutter

Oh really

Thank you for taking the time to help me I really appreciate it 😊

Is your TSH 10.45 with a range of 0.27 - 4.20? If so, you are undermedicated. Did you reduce your thyroid medication or are you still on the same amount as you were in October 17? T3 although just about in range is very low in range confirming you are undermedicated.

in reply toNanaedake

My t3 was stopped in September my gp lowered t4 to 100 every mon we’d fri because t4 was 26

What was FT3 when FT4 was 26?

in reply toNanaedake

I’m not 100 percent but think it was 3.8

If FT3 was 3.8 then if it were me, even though I had an over range FT4 I would have wanted to leave my dose alone and retest in 6 weeks. I quite often have over-range FT4. It seems like I need an over-range FT4 to get enough active thyroid hormone. It seems like some people do according to the Professor Toft paper.

in reply toNanaedake

Yes clutter was saying same why is the gps so thick

I’m really fed up with this lower / higher but still never feel well

Now I feel totally exhausted it’s like I am constantly in a day dream nearly drifting away

Constantly fluctuating thyroid hormone makes us feel very unwell. I hope you can get your T3 reinstated as it sounded like you were more stable when on both LT3 & LT4.

Yes thank you for all your help and advice

Thanks very much
