No progress with Dr...and other possible symptoms?

My last posts explained my blood test results which show high antibodies but everything else within range. On this basis my Dr is not willing to do any other testing, even though I do suffer with joint pain, fatigue, hair loss etc and have a family history of hypothyroidism. I have given up gluten for 5 months now just in case and I do feel perhaps slightly better. But I still have some other things happening which I wondered if could be thyroid related or totally different.1) eye problem. I hadn't thought it related intil I read another member commenting about extremely similar. A kind of floating film on my eye when I move it, resulting in blurry vision for a couple of seconds then it clears. I went to the opticians and the hospital to check it out, and it is not visible on their machines or to anyone other than me unfortunately.

2) thumb numbness. I haven't done anything about this yet but my thumb feels partly numb and hurts when I stretch it.

Could be something or nothing related, but I was wondering if having a thyroid scan privately might be an option. I saw here that it only shows up if thyroid is quite damaged, I doubt mine is with my numbers, but it was to just do something given that the dr is not interested.

I already said here once before that in my notes it now says sub clinical hyperthyroidism, which seemed to be wrong from the start according to your members who are super well informed.

So still not sure what next steps are my best options. They won't do vitamin tests on the public health care over here in Spain either.

Have you investigated your sex hormones as you say your periods have stopped?

Well my periods had stopped for 8 months when I last wrote, but lo and behold in December they started back up. I have no indication why, unless it was the no gluten. But no I hadn't investigated it. Should I?

Peri symptoms kick in a good 10 years before menopause... Randox do a £29 test which includes progesterone (most don't)... randoxhealth.com/en-GB/at-h...

Re thumb numbness

Make sure this isn’t simply from how you hold/use your cellphone.

I had similar, thought it was arthritis, doctor said - it’s your cellphone! And for once, my doctor was right! And one on my “symptoms” was NOT thyroid related!

Just a thought.
