Resting pulse varies widely between individuals, as this link explains

hopkinsmedicine.org/health/....

It’s a good idea to check your resting pulse occasionally. Personally, I don’t do this regularly (ie using a FitBit) as I can fixate on it… I worry less by monitoring less!

This is a conventional medicine website though- they always have broad ranges.

There will be a massive range of resting pulses on this forum too.

What is your resting pulse? Are you concerned about it?

Why wouldn’t they? It’s factually correct. Pulse rates vary between individuals. I used to be an athlete and a common misconception is that athletes always have a low resting pulse but I never did - it was not my physiology.

I don’t think you have anything to worry about Tabba; yours is well within normal range 👍

It might be a good idea to add more information about your thyroid journey so far to your profile, so members have a better understanding of any ongoing symptoms, blood test results etc.

My resting heart rate has varied between 74 and 95 over the past six months.

But my actual heart rate over the same period has varied from 40 to 195.

I think that a spot check has little value. There are too many factors which impact on our heart rate in the short term - minutes to hours. Even thinking about heart rate can see it change!

My figures come from a worn device (an Apple Watch 8 but most such devices collect data similarly).
