Not sure if this is even the right place but excited, not. 🤠So Have had referrals for Endo, not holding my breath, Rheumatologist , and worryingly Gynaecologist. So just got a phone call there is a slot 9.30 tomorrow for Rheumatology if I want it, I said yes. So anyone know what to expect, any advice on what to say or do?
Are they as bad as Endo's , ?

I've seen the same Rheumi twice at my local hospital, in 2008 when I got my Fibro and Ehlers Danlos diagnosis and again in 2015 when I was struggling with symptoms. I can't speak for all of them of course but both times he was lovely, very thorough.
He was kind and caring but realistic about the impact of Fibro and the treatments available. I'm always grateful to him for pointing out that opiate painkillers are ineffective for long term chronic pain and he put the idea in my head to come off of them, which I did.
The Zomorph I was taking had lots of side effects including intense itching, but as I'm allergic to many others I'm rather limited when it comes to pain relief. Since then I dont take any meds for Fibro. I've found a lot of them worse than the condition they are supposed to treat 😒
You sound as though you have a lot going on healthwise, so good luck for tomorrow.
I hope your appointment went well. My own experience with a Rheumatologist was excellent. After twenty years of assorted GPs fobbing me off he carried out testing to resolve my problem. I have now been 15 years problem free. The Endo I saw re thyroid was worse than useless. Rude and showboating in front of students. However a different endo for diabetes was also first class. Totally different experiences. Please let us know how today went.
Well pleasantly surprised really. Thought it would be just a chat , and sent away to wait for appointments for bloods, Xray's etc and that i would be talked over etc but no not bad. Don't want to get to excited as we all know sometimes it starts off great and goes downhill rapidly. So hands ,feet x-rayed in various positions, bloods done, lots of requests on forms, apparently I'll be sent an appointment for a scan and they took the piss, 😂🤠wee sample . They seemed to listen so here's hoping ,
He asked me questions about things I never thought to mention, any psoriasis in family, any Raynaud's, both parents had Arthritis asked which , Mum has both and Dad I think just had OA. He asked if I was flexible as a child, used to sleep with my feet behind my head, so probably 😉. So hoping might get some answers and help
