Hi everyone, hope you are all well. I wonder if anyone has any advice for me please. I have been diagnosed with h pylori and was given 7 days triple therapy. Have felt so bad finished the antibiotics 3 days ago but they want me to continue the ppi's for four weeks. I am feeling awful Ive been taking ppi in morning and thyroxine at bedtime. Would the ppis interfere with my levothyroxine. Am at wits end its xmas and feel terrible. I am so nauseated and cannot eat 😔. BP keeps going up. I wish you all a Happy Christmas 🤶 and healthy New year xx

Retest after Christmas

Meanwhile keep taking your vitamin supplements

If Ft3 remains low you will need to see endocrinologist to get T3 prescribed alongside levothyroxine

Here’s link for how to request Thyroid U.K.list of private Doctors but also list of recommended thyroid specialist endocrinologists who will prescribe T3

Ideally choose an endocrinologist to see privately initially and who also does NHS consultations

I had this recently. Didn’t take ppi’s beyond the week of the double dose of anti biotics. We tend to have low stomach acid rather than high stomach acid.

I recommend bone broth, probiotics and prebiotics to heal your gut, and ginger and turmeric to soothe and reduce inflammation. I buy bone broth powder online (without added salt) and add it to virtually everything... soups, milky drinks, both sweet and savoury. Its fantastic stuff. If you can't manage probiotic foods (yogurts, kimchi etc), then try a good probiotic capsule to build up those healthy gut bacteria again. I swear by a good healthy soup for lunch, its made a huge difference to my gut issues.

Hi Eton , there's a couple I've bought on Amazon. One is 'Clean & Pure Bone Broth Powder' from Sweden, and 'Euphoria Bliss Bone Broth Powder'. They're pretty much the same. Fairly neutral taste. I like them a lot. Very soothing for irritated digestive systems.

Eton , I've just read your bio, and I recognise a lot that I have myself... psoriasis, reflux constipation for example. Have you tried an elimination diet? It made quite a difference to me. I found this book really useful: 'The Complete Acid Reflux Diet Plan' by Nour Zibdeh
