Interesting change from your last results...

TSH - 1.96 my/L

Free t3 - 4.57 pmol/L

Free thyroxine - 12.7 pmol/L

Perhaps you should be requesting an ultrasound if it is causing you restriction which might throw some light on what is happening

I know totally different readings could the time of day have something to do with it I took this one at 215am as couldn’t sleep . So just took it and sent off in first post .. should I get Go to check them maybe . . Have had ultrasound on the clavicle area they said nothing to see . But swelling keeps coming and going worse when I exert myself like walking dogs . Chest gets heavy and shortness of breath .. x

TSH is normally at its peak between 7-9am?

I would certainly ask your GP to examine also ask for a full iron panel, B12, folate and Vit D.... Shortness of breath can be linked to lows in all of these

I see in another post that your Oestradiol - 1125pmol/L that is very high for post meno and could well be interfering with your thyroid hormones

How much are you using?

It's hard to find a definitive answer but somewhere between 200-400 pmol/L is suggested a lot for bone health and wellness 🤷‍♀️

"What oestradiol level would be acceptable if I am taking HRT?

Unlike other hormones, there is no recommended oestradiol level that you should aim to achieve although a good starting point might be to aim for oestradiol levels that are comparable to the average levels in your normal menstrual cycle, which is between 180-370pmol/L [2].

Some women do appear to feel better with higher oestradiol levels and although there is no upper limit most agree that levels should not exceed 800pmol/L[5].

Are there any risks of having a high oestradiol"

TSH - 1.96mU/L range 0.27-4.2

Free T3 - 4.57 pmol/L 3.1- 6.8

Free thyroxine 12.7 pmol/L. 12-22

Vit d is 56nmol/L says 50-75 adequate

Folate serum 2.70ug/L range above 3.89

Vit B12 is high as been taking supplements at 150 pmol/L range 37.5-150

Magnesium serum - 1.02 mmol/L range is 0.7-1

All private blood test from medichecks

Results 8 days ago show

Vitamin D insufficient

Increase to at least over 80nmol

Folate deficient

Rather than a B12 instead taking a daily GOOD QUALITY vitamin B complex

No ferritin result?

work on improving vitamin levels and retest again in 8 weeks

To maintain B vitamins in balance

Now your serum B12 is over 500 (or Active B12 level has reached 70), stop the B12 and just take a daily vitamin B Complex.

Difference between folate and folic acid

healthline.com/nutrition/fo...

Many Hashimoto’s patients have MTHFR gene variation and can have trouble processing folic acid.

thyroidpharmacist.com/artic...

B vitamins best taken after breakfast

Thorne Basic B recommended vitamin B complex that contains folate, but they are large capsules. (You can tip powder out if can’t swallow capsule)

Thorne currently difficult to find at reasonable price, should be around £20-£25. iherb.com often have in stock. Or try ebay

Other options

healthunlocked.com/thyroidu....

Igennus B complex popular option too. Nice small tablets. Most people only find they need one per day. But a few people find it’s not high enough dose

IMPORTANT......If you are taking vitamin B complex, or any supplements containing biotin, remember to stop these 7 days before ALL BLOOD TESTS , as biotin can falsely affect test results

endo.confex.com/endo/2016en...

endocrinenews.endocrine.org...

In week before blood test, when you stop vitamin B complex, you might want to consider taking a separate folate supplement (eg Jarrow methyl folate 400mcg)

So that’s anaemic

And very likely why you feel exhausted

cks.nice.org.uk/topics/anae...

Serum ferritin level is the biochemical test, which most reliably correlates with relative total body iron stores. In all people, a serum ferritin level of less than 30 micrograms/L confirms the diagnosis of iron deficiency.

High TIBC suggests anaemia too

As you have high CRP - that’s inflammation

Ferritin rises with inflammation so in reality your ferritin could actually be even lower than 31

Inflammation affecting ferritin

healthunlocked.com/thyroidu...

As your ferritin is low but iron is not ….Look at increasing iron rich foods in diet

Eating iron rich foods like liver or liver pate once a week plus other red meat, pumpkin seeds and dark chocolate, plus daily orange juice or other vitamin C rich drink can help improve iron absorption

This is interesting because I have noticed that many patients with Hashimoto’s disease and hypothyroidism, start to feel worse when their ferritin drops below 80 and usually there is hair loss when it drops below 50.

We have received further information the lab about ferritin reference ranges. They confirm that they are sex dependent up to the age of 60, then beyond the age of 60 the reference range is the same for both sexes:

Males 16-60: 30-400 ug/L

Female's: 16-60: 30-150

Both >60: 30-650

The lower limit of 30 ug/L is in accordance with the updated NICE guidance and the upper limits are in accordance with guidance from the Association of Clinical Biochemists. ‘
