I have been treated for many years, and following my early breast cancer in 2021, the subsequent aromatose inhibitor (to reduce the oestrogen levels in my body to help prevent recurrance) has played havoc with my BP, cholesterol and thyroid meds.
I saw an Endo, who eventually decided to try adding a small amount of T3 -reducing my Levo from 125mcg to 100 and adding 5mcg T3. Finally got the results of latest test -I did ask for a full panel, but only got these three-
29 Nov 2023
Serum TSH level
0.16 mIU/L
0.35 - 4.94
Abnormal
Serum free T3 level
4.10 pmol/L
2.63 - 5.70
Normal
Serum free T4 level
16.40 pmol/L
9.01 - 19.05
Normal
I have not yet started the T3 as I was waiting for these results. I don't feel too bad, but tingly/slightly numb fingertips, cold hands often, slight brain fog at times, and still putting on weight in spite of eating little.Lethargic too. Do I make the change to add the T3 and see what happens? All other levels are good as I had them tested recently and my last B12 shot was 6 November. I take selenium with the Thyroxine around 5 am usually but neither the morning before the test.
I am juggling Endo, cardio and Onco people and each is only interested in their 'bit' of me-I'm trying to manage all three!
