Roseway labs for prerscriptions

Hi I’ve checked out the above supplier for Liothyroine. Just wondering for those who have used them, how their prices compare with other stockists? Don’t want to pay the £55 consultation fee if it’s going to be a non starter. Grateful for any advice! Thanks

I am a massive fan, they are way more knowledgeable than most GPs and Endos we see described here. Treat symptoms in conjunction with bloods, deal with intolerances well too. Ask away if you have questions, I’ve had three appointments over 12 months, advice and guidance in between, help to keep costs down too. I rate them 10/10 🌱

Thanks, what is the benefit of going there compared to just purchasing online as some others have suggested. No need for consultation/prescription and cheaper? Totally new to this so just trying to weigh up my options…

I love Roseway labs, but I've only used them once. I think the main benefit is that you're more legit because the T3 might make your test results look a bit different. This way you can tell the GP who is prescribing your T3 if they try to lower your dose and you can say they are experts and you feel better on it. I'm new to this so not at all sure, but I've had several bad experiences with endos being really greedy with their fees and not adding much into the mix so Roseway labs is very refreshing in that. respect.

It’s legal and the advice is valuable. I feel well supported.

I highly rate them as well. Been using them for about 3/4 years now and I always find they are very helpful and listen to symptoms as well as looking at bloods.

I pay £0.85 per tablet of compounded Liothyroinine.

There’s a lactose free brand of T3 (thybon Henning) around £20 but it’s for 20mg you may have to cut the tablet up

I have used Roseway for a few years and rate them highly. Friendly and efficient..

I agree with Regenallotment and The Wasp. Roseway are brilliant, imo. Last month I was prescribed 100 Thybon Henning 20mcg for £60. These will last me months, as I cut them to suit my T3 needs.

When I first contacted Roseway, I only paid £30 for an online consultation, having provided them with 2 recent blood tests and a completed questionnaire. Then I had a short phone conversation with the prescriber. Since then, I have been able to obtain 2 more scripts without further consultation costs. I'm very happy with their service 😁.👍

now I’m interested. You can have a consult with someone at Roseway? I pay £87 to my private doctor who’s not even an endo specialist. Please can you give more info? Roseway is where my Erfa comes from and I’m desperately trying to lower costs which work out about £100 per month incl doctor and script fee as well as drugs! Don’t rate her that highly as some of you might gather …ultimately I plan to write to gp for script but need to get stable first! Info gratefully received, I love this site it is SO full of helpful info! 💜

Starseed56, The info is on their website rosewaylabs.com/patients/pr...

All NDT brands are very expensive, and it's highly unlikely that your GP will prescribe this as desiccated thyroid is not a licensed medication in the UK.

Yes. I don't have the backing of a GP nor an endo for obtaining T3. My GP doesn't even know I get T3. I was referred to an endo many years ago when my thyroid "journey" began but he must have been a diabetes bod. When I asked him about trying NDT (Armour) he said it was "pure quackery" and that I should have a referral to a dietician instead to educate me on "appetite control". I could have slapped him!

But, I digress...... so, yes, I am able to bypass my GP and obtain my T3 from Roseway without GP knowledge nor consent. Brilliant eh? All the GPs at my surgery are worse than useless and know nothing about thyroid treatment, so it's a relief to find that I am not beholden to their ignorance and have the opportunity to get my health back on track myself, with T3 from Roseway. I have obtained from other sources in the past, but Roseway is the cheapest and safest source, I have found.

Roseway's website is pretty comprehensive. I just followed their instructions, paid my £30, filled in the questionnaire, provided the 2 blood tests results, scheduled the telephone appointment and had the helpful conversation with the prescriber at Roseway.

No need for GP nor involvement from endo. I'm now in control. Just hope Roseway continue to offer this service!

Agree with all comments. I’m new to Roseway but found the process and the advice really inspired confidence. My results show I don’t convert T3 well at all. Waiting list for local NHS endo is huge and I got feedback from others on here that they’re not fans of prescribing T3. Decided to do a 3 month trial with Roseway and they’ve been great, too early to see results but I’m feeling hopeful!

I’ve just ordered my next batch of liothyrinine from them and naturally we don’t have to pay the expensive shipping from the US or wherever , but my private prescription was from my endo so Roseway didn’t charge me . £55 is expensive for a prescription ! I’m sure it’s cheaper if you can get a private doctor to do you one if possible .

Clauds123, you have plenty of feedback for your question now, so I'm closing this post to further comments as it's fast becoming an advert.
