Rather unexpectedly, as not supposed to be until 3 months after having my levo upped from 75 to 100mcg, my TSH and T4 were tested after just 5 weeks.
TSH 0.16 (0.27 to 4.2), T4 21.7 (12 to 22).
As I was not expecting thyroid tests at this time (different test booked) I had taken levo 3 hours before the test so values probably slightly elevated. Anyway, the TSH has been marked as borderline and passed.
But the good news is that my cholesterol has dropped from 7.3 to 6.5 in those few weeks. I am hoping this will continue as I am resisting further pressure to take statins following discovery of aortic aneurysm.
Also the increased levo has caused a distinct improvement in my peripheral neuropathy- still a big issue but a very welcome improvement as I had hoped.
Thanks for the advice found on this forum.

There is a recent post I made on statins and cholesterol. I gather papers, guidelines etc as a resource for other members. It is sat in my profile along with all my other bumph. Just click on my face to go to my profile.
Also there are two great links to Thyroid Canada - Very relevant as often they try to dose by TSH (so wrong on so many levels).
First link - Still no proof that low TSH causes harm to bones.
please do not humour ignorance. The effects can be negative and lasting.
There is also a pinned post on LOW TSH by tattybogle and one I have done also pinned on the NHS and NICE guidelines- the useful bits.
I’m Preempting any push back- hopefully this information will help you. Treatment is not about making the numbers look good on the lab work- it is about getting YOU well.
