Thyroid S - still struggling

I started on Thyroid S two years ago, having previously been on TR.Mann. I am still struggling with it, wondering how others are doing?

Would love to hear how others get on without a thyroid and what medication they take.

Yes thank you, I know this and seemingly I am on the good batch.

Hiya. I'm feeling rubbish too. I am 3wks into the 23T01003 batch which are rock hard. I did fine on TA22012, but since trying batches TA22057 and this current one, I am achey, with swollen fingers, tiredness and allergy type itching. I am booked for a GP consultation next week to request a blood test and see what's going on. I havr increased to 3 1/4 grains and still feel under the weather. Thyroid S has changed for the worse in my opinion. What batch are you on, and what symptoms are you experiencing?

Hello, I am on Batch No: TA21089 one of the good ones apparently. I take 1 1/2 and feel better since I took 1/2 grainless. I took what I had takenprevioously and had B.P. through the roof and was very fatigued.

Hard to explain how I feel really, from the very beginning I had tooth ache, all my teeth ached, which was a bit weird. I have had all manner of ailments come and go, feeling as though I am not in the present moment, very forgetful, not very sharp, having accidents all the time.

Hiya. Yes, you are on one of the older batches, which was always more effective with fewer side effects for me... But, and that's the big thing, people react differently. I'm on one of the newest batches, and the later ones have been a lot worse for me, bar one batch, symptom wise. It's interesting you say you're teeth are affected. If you're not optimally treated, your immune system can play havoc on your body, and so infections like mouth ulcers, amongst other things can creep up. I often get candida thrush when I'm not well on the meds. My current issues are fatigue generally and in my joints and muscles, but also swollen inflammation around my hands, causing aching. I am also itchy and feel allergic needing antihistamines the last few days. I have booked a phone consultation with the GP so I can hopefully get a blood test to see what's going on. I am thinking I may have to switch NDT, which isn't easy without a prescription and extortionately priced. This thyroid treatment is a nightmare when it doesn't seem to be working. Maybe get your bloods done to see if your levels are in range. You could also be allergic to the ingredients in the Thyroid-S because there's a lot of crap in there as well as the T3/T4. Shamefully, the manufacturer won't publish what they make it with. I do know that aluminium is one of the ingredients, which is harmful to the body.
