I would hugely appreciate it if people could help me with recommendations for good hair products.
I am naturally curly which is prone to frizz but even though I am quite well medicated on my levo and my vitamins are getting so much better. Not much longer to optimal, my hair is so hard to keep nourished.
What shampoos/conditioners/leave ins do people suggest please. Would like to see my curls softer and better defined if possible.
Thanks for reading

I used to use a baby shampoo and any paraben free conditioner. I’m still using a bit of conditioner, but I swapped shampoo to faith in nature. I bought some to support a community shop startup with absolutely no expectations, but I actually love it. It is gentle, but great at getting hair clean. Also I rarely blow dry my hair, but towel dry and leave it to dry naturally which I think makes a huge difference too. Obviously if I have to go out I will lightly dry, but I never use any hair irons tongs or anything (nor any of the expensive protective products).
I’ve seen hair oil being advertised recently which I thought would be great at calming frizz, but my hair is like stair rods, it’s only the regrowth that sticks out on my otherwise straight hair little frizzy bits of various lengths. I’m not sure if I put it on straight hair it would look nourished or just greasy.🤣
I’m sure others will be along with suggestions. 😊👍
Hi Demutria, my hair is straight, but thinner and frizzier every year. I started using a rosemary based shampoo, as I read that it's great for thickening...i use faith in nature...its really nice.Apparently hair needs 6 months before any noticeable difference from products, so find something and stick with it...I also pinch my husbands argon oil shampoo and conditioner from time to time, his hair is curly and it's lovely shampoo. Made by Hask I think...
Oribe hair cream. Expensive but worth it! Amazing stuff with no sign of weight to the hair and repeat as often as needed. It got me through a bad patch with really dry hair before I was finally diagnosed.
I have naturally curly hair and find using products designed for people with afro hair the best. There is a wide varity to choose from and not too expensive. You probably want something called a curl activator. I also put weldeda rose oil in my hair to give it a bit of a shine.
Yes, so I have used the curl jelly for affro hair before and it is quite good. My son also uses it. But yes, a curl activator is something I need. In between washes etc
John Masters is an organic range I’ve used for years. I only have wavy hair but there might be something to suit you. They have a nice leave in conditioner.
Look up curly girl method and co washing/ cleaning conditioner I've only just started on this journey as only recently acquired wavy/curly hair which I've put down to hormones.
There can be a lot learn and you will likely go through a few products along the way finding one that suits you.
Co washing is washing hair in a cleansing conditioner instead of shampoo. Only after a few months my hair doesn't feel as dry and frizzy and I'm now seeing proper curls forming with the process. I have stopped using heated curler/straighteners and only dry with low heat settings and diffuser.
I recommend you join a curly girl method fb group and watch videos.
Google hair products that are curly girl compliant
Look up imbue, only curls, umberto giannini, faith in nature. These are just a couple of names.
I'm still trying find one suitable for my hair but I've used Imbue, Faith in nature and As I am.It's finding what works with your styling products too and technique.
Just look for silicone free conditioners, even cheap 99p ones are fine they say.
