I take 50 mcg of Accord (75/100 dose). I have not been well for a good while and I am not sure if this brand is always optimal. I have had feelings of being quite well and that I have absorbed the hormone, but I query the batches and expiry dates and if this brand or tablet (50 mcg) is substandard.
Also, could a tablet within a batch be faulty on its own as well as a complete batch?
Sorry to further add, but I have had a batch that was crumbling when cut and was advised to report it by yellow card. Unfortunately, I lost the batch number from the end of the box. Does this mean I can’t report this as they ask for a batch number?
My recent vitamin test was okay and thyroid panel showed below through the range T3 after posting my results on here recently.
Thank you

Sailing14, I discovered in August that my T4 had dropped from 65% through range to 32% through range. A numwbr of hypo symptoms had returned and I was feeling awful. I had taken 100 mcgm Accord for at least the previous 10 years and also added in 15 mcgm T3 about 4 years ago, as I am a poor converter.
Having posted on here in August I learned that there were others who had issues with Accord, not sure if they were taking 100 or 50mcgm Accord. I did send in a yellow card to MHRA as did @helvella
I am now taking Vencamil 100 mcgm but have increase the dose to 112.5 mcgm as my T4 level is still very low in range, but at least some of my hypo symptoms have gone. Still a work in progress.
Thank you for your helpful response. I am going to have to consider the Vencamil brand but for now, I may try some Mercury Pharma I have from previously which I’m not sure agrees with me, but it could be used in the interim.
I feel that Accord are sub standard on certain batches - if that is the correct phrase. I do feel I am absorbing when a batch is okay, I can’t be sure though and I have lost faith in the brand due to this.
We have seen a steady stream of posts regarding Accord. (Including from me!)
The number of posts is small but many of them have attracted a few comments from others who felt there is/was an issue.
I don't think that we, as patients, can know whether individual tablets could be sub-potent. An awful lot of the technology of tablet manufacture is expressly designed to ensure consistency within a batch (as well as between batches). But you would have to do a lot of testing to prove beyond doubt that every single tablet within a batch is within specification. (We rely on statistics and sampling in the real world. But that isn't proof - just demonstration it is unlikely to a high degree of confidence there will be sub-potent tablets.)
I suggest that you at least submit Yellow Card reports for the batches you think are affected.
Thank you for your response and helpful advice. As mentioned to crumple, I do feel certain batches are sub standard and I need to consider a change. If I could rely on all batches being okay, I would remain on Accord,, but what seems like inconsistency (which is detrimental to my health), I need to see if Vencamil is better and use up some Mercury Pharma I have for now.
I will yellow card the issue though as advised.
Also to add, could it be a storage problen making this an issue either at the manufacturers or suppliers? As like you said, the machines used and technology are designed for consistency (but very difficult to prove I know as mentioned).
I agree that there could be some factor (such as storage conditions) - but it really needs MHRA and Accord to get to the bottom of the issue(s).
I wish Aristo could hurry up and get their other dosages approved! It appears to be an MHRA delay. I'd like the 25 microgram tablets rather than having to switch makes or trying to split the 100 into at least four.
