Morning All. Well last post from me I thought I had cracked it on 125_150 alternative days. Then I requested my tablets and another doc said.... your a little above the range . Best just have 125. So I am on 125. But I can feel and see my face bloating up , pains and ache in shoulder neck. He told me to go for a blood test. But now another doctor says I went to soon. Understandable as takes time for the adjustment to dose. So God knows why they booked the bloodtest. So now I'm booked in again in few weeks. I feel like I'm just going to slowly feel worse and worse. She did say the early test is back in normal range. I might function better on higher range I wait for next test and will say I want to up dose if gone bk to hell again. Rant over thank you fellow thyroid sufferers. You guys really get it .

Ask for the actual blood test results. What do they mean by a little over range? You really need TSH, Ft4 & Ft3 testing. On the NHS with a fair wind you may get TSH & Ft4. Commonly though doctors of ten go on TSH although this has proven to lead to under treatment.Ask for copy of results or you maybe able to see them on the NHS app.
Post back on here with results.
Hi thanks for your reply.T4 19.4 _ (11.0_ 26.0)
TSH 0.04_ (0.27_ 4.2)
Ah as I thought ure GPs gone on the TSH even though there's plenty of movement for an increase judging by your ft4. I would point that the ft4 is the actual thyroid hormone which remains quite low in range and ask for a trial increase. TSH (Thyroid Stimulating Hormone) isn't a thyroid hormone. Good luck
Thank you. Do you mean my 19.4 is liw range . As 26 highest range
I'm saying there's plenty of roo to move in your Ft4 result to increase if you still feel you are under medocated. I do agree with Soviet Song that a full thyroid panel would be a good idea (TSH Ft4 & Ft3). T3 is the active use able form so it would be good to see what level it is.Some people are happy with their Ft4 mid range usually vecsuse their Ft3 is higher......other need their Ft4 higher in the range as well as Ft3. We are all different. Sadly none of this is measured before we develop Hypothyroidism as it would be useful!!
You should definitely get the full panel done as GP's only test t4 and tsh.Yet another case of doctors treating graphs on a screen rather than the individual patient. Why reduce someone's dose if they are doing well.
The important one is FT3 level that's what you need to look into.
T4 is only at 56% through the range so your T3 is more than likely low as well.137. 5mcg daily for 8 weeks looks way to go,you may even need 150mcg daily in time.
