Please may I ask for the list that has the names of endocrinologists who have prescribed T3 to their patients in the past and are knowledgeable about T3?
I need to find out if thereās someone in Royal Berkshire Hospital as I just found out that my GP referred me to them and Iāve been given an appointment in March 2024!
Iād like to try to get someone who understands T3, as Iāve been told that I can request to see a certain doctor of my choice?
Thank you so much!

You are advised to get full thyroid profile bloods done to include TSH, FT4 & FT3 + vitamins ferritin, folate, B12 & D3 and antibodies before your appointment to avoid wasting your first visit.
As you have a hospital & department it might be worth searching the hospital website & see the information on the doctors & their names.
There always the chance they work for NHS & privately & the treatment they are prepared to offer differs, depending on the setting.
We cant discuss individual doctors on public forum, but once you have name of doctor you are appointed to see you can mention name & ask for private replies on peopleās experience of them.
Recommend you arrange to complete a full, current set of thyroid function / antibodies & key nutrients - folate, ferritin, B12 & vitamin D tested before attending consultation.
