Sorry I got results wrong in my 1st post (I listed medicheck ones taken a week before)

This is Endo blood test

14/02/24

T4 15.5 (12-22)

T3 4.71 (3.1-6.8)

TSH 0.68

In readiment for T3 trial mid November, I reduced T4 by 25mg Then after a week added 5mg T3 then did same till I was on 100mg T4 & 10mg T3 So that took bout 6weeks.Iv been on 112,5mg T4 (since i added 12.5mg at Christmas) & 10mg T3

Could anyone advise, should T4 or T3 be upped?

When I respond to endo should I focus on symptoms , is it worth me trying to tell him my T3/T4 should be higher? If so any advice as how to do that subtly without alienating would be great? Thank you.

I'd still say up your T4 to 125mcg but wouldn't muddy the waters with Endo about it, get him to concentrate on T3

Free T4 (fT4) 15.5 pmol/L (12 - 22) 35.0%

Free T3 (fT3) 4.71 pmol/L (3.1 - 6.8) 43.5%

and say to the Endo you are still symptomatic and would very much like to trial a small increase to see if getting your fT3 above 50% of range improves things

Thank you, I had a terrible night tossing & turning till gone 2am tho I fell to bed exhausted at 1010pm, brain in over drive at how to broach... this funny tho woke this morning feeling stronger with clarity of mind & have done an email to him very much along the lines of what you advise ( not sent yet incase i need to tweek it.)Thank you.

Should my T3 be over 5 & T4 be over 20 to be 50% thru, sorry maths used to be my thing but my brain gets in such a fuddle I just can't think straight at times 😏

I think many of us were up in the small hours 😵 finally got back to sleep and the dog did a dream howl at 6am... shouldn't let her watch Crufts 😂

Sometimes you just have to work things through in your head and often it's the middle of the night when you have time to yourself 🙃

There's no real hard and fast rule about where you will find your sweet spot but if you are still symptomatic and your frees are low it means you need to sneak a little higher in the hope you find it

Free T4 (fT4) 20 pmol/L (12 - 22) 80.0%

Free T3 (fT3) 5 pmol/L (3.1 - 6.8) 51.4%

I use this to work things out 😏 thyroid.chingkerrs.online/

fT3 somewhere between 5 and the top is quite a common happy place

This aimed at me? 😁

Good job! Honestly we tie ourselves in knots over these things and you might as well flip a coin as to which way it will go!... Stand your ground... last time I saw my Endo she went from threatening to cut me loose due to low TSH to agreeing to everything I said and came away with the increased prescription I wanted!! 😵‍💫

Wine!! Your turn for the 2am wake up 😆

Yes you are right we do tie ourselves in knots, get So stressed....been there.... that roller coaster ride, when you think you can't turn Dr to your way of thinking.......then you find your strenght ...... & you do It! 😃 And you think.....why cant I just have this Strenght All the time?

Life sucks sometimes...... but Im lucky to have found when you wobble .....you come on here and someone gives you your strength back 💕

& No.....no 2am waking for me .....nice glass of Shiraz with my dinner.... soon as i hit the pillow I'll sleep like a 🐻.... n try not to wake grumpy 🤣

Don't forget to hide the remote 😉

As TiggerMe has said, I just wanted you to know you could have edited your existing post. Sometimes it is better to edit (and add a line saying you have done so), rather than a brand new post which is unconnected to the post with the mistake(s) in it.

You did nothing wrong. And I tend to just post the minimum rather than labouring the point! :-)

thank you, found out..... I'm not very Tech savvy & get in a bit of a tiz ... I totally loose the place on here & find replies I'd totally missed cause they're not in order, is that how it is or am I just jumbling everything on here up......like the rest of my life! 🙄

You can get alerts for replies. (I think this is the usual setting.)

You can always find your own posts by clicking on your name (or avatar/icon) and going to your profile where they are all listed.

And always think about adding to one of your existing posts/threads rather than creating a new one. That helps to keep the strands of ideas and discussion together rather than spread across multiple seemingly unconnected posts.

Just have a wander round you existing posts to see if there are any new replies you have not noticed.

Old posts are almost impossible to follow as they jumble things up and it's very hard to tell who answered who... thankfully if someone has pressed the reply button (often forgotten) you get an email so you don't miss to many replies 😉
