I just took mine twice this morning once before a cuppa tea and once just after and both times, my electronic thermometer said 35.1C. According to Broda Barnes, it should be at least 36.5. Does anyone think this test is a good test for hypothyroidism?

what's your basal temperaturfe
In hypothyroidism, basal body temperature can be low. But whether that is what you are measuring is not clear.
First, it should be taken before you get up.
Second, where and how carefully you take the temperature is important.
Third, how consistent and well-calibrated the thermometer are important.

Update: I had left the plastic case on the digital thermometer this morning so that's why it said 35.1. I just tested now and it's 36.3C
Sounds familiar - I struggled for minutes trying to get my eye drops to drop before realising I hadn't taken off the little transparent lid! Please could you remind me of the ME forum you recommend? I'm wondering where I can buy non-flame-treated (you know what I mean) furniture having just read about the chemicals that are continually released from flame retardation - retardation!!!?? Wishing I hadn't started this post!
I don't know any ME forums except foggyfriends. There is also an ME forum on here on health unlocked if you search for it and join. There aren't many posters though I don't think.
