Hi. my eltroxin stash i brought for my trip to Thailand sadly fell out since the lid wasn’t properly secured. i’ve then the last month taken eutheryx since it was the only thing i could find in the drugstores here. sadly im not feeling well and seems like im mot reacting well to it despite i was told it was the same active ingredient.
can someone suggest me if theres a pharmacy in bangkok that has eltroxin? or something else I can swap out with. feels like i can get anything but eltroxin

Afraid that the Thai system is largely in the Thai language which makes it difficult for those of us who have no knowledge of Thai.
The only levothyroxine I've identified that is available there is what you have found - Merck Euthyrox.
The Euthyrox product likely is the new formulation which contains mannitol. Some require a dose adjustment (reduction) while others simply don't appear to tolerate mannitol well.
Be careful if you do find anything that says "Eltroxin" - as the product outside the UK could very well be a different formulation. Either the Aspen product (available in many countries including Australia) or the GSK product (available in India).
Not that there is necessarily anything wrong - just they are not the same.
My medicines document might have some useful information - but doesn't add any other makes available in Thailand.
helvella's medicines documents (UK and Rest of the World) can be found here:
helvella - Thyroid Hormone Medicines
helvella has created, and tries to maintain, documents containing details of all thyroid hormone medicines in the UK and, in less detail, many others around the world.
This link takes you to a page which has direct links to the documents from Dropbox and Google Drive, and QR codes to make it easy to access from phones.
The UK document contains up-to-date versions of the Summary Matrix for tablets, oral solutions and liothyronine available in the UK.
thank you. i panicked and sent mass messages to a couple pharmacies in the city and found one having the correct version. it’s luckily the same version as the one i get in denmark!
Sriprasit, manufacturer of Thyroid-S, also makes levothyroxine. It´s called Thyrosit (100 mcg) and should be available in Thai pharmacies.
You may be reacting to the mannitol in Euthyrox. Many found they did not do as well on it after it was reformulated a few years ago.
they fell out of the bag on a speedboat and got all soaked up. i had packed more than enough for the trip but had to travel lightly so packed them in one big container.
I really hope you manage to locate a pharmacy with the correct thyroid medication minawir. It must have been very stressful losing the ones you packed. Hope you can enjoy the rest of your travels! 🦋
