I have recently had a cortisone injection by a doctor at the hospital for arthritis, and a week later I have started to get palpitations and tiredness. Could these be temporary? Does it affect TSH or T3 conversion?
The doctor said it shouldn’t affect the thyroid but there is a possibility of it going in to the bloodstream.
Thank you for your help.

Thank you for your response. I’m not sure you may know, but would the affects wear off after a few weeks? Also, if they help the arthritis, would I be able to adjust the dose of thyroxine if tests show a difference?
Did you have thyroid testing done prior to the cortisone injections? If so then do another set of thyroid testing and compare…. I inject monthly for Psoriatic Arthritis (PSA) with Biologic called Cosentyx and even this speeds up my heart rate and the exhaustion for a day or so after injection is massive I feel like I’m walking through peanut butter.
