T3/T4 experiences

Morning all, I have decided to try a combination of t3/t4. For clarity, I started 3 days ago, I take 100mcg of t4 and approx 6mcg ( Tiromel) t3. ....3 mcg in the morning and 3mcg late afternoon.

If anyone is on this regime, can you give me an idea of how you felt when you first started.

I am really not sure what to expect and would greatly appreciate your input.

My reason for starting is that I am a poor converter .

Thank you

Lorna

Generally when you add T3 you might get a rise in basal temperature and an increase in resting heart rate as your tick over effectively speeds up a bit, might speed up gut motility.... for some it can be quite a kick for others less so

Keeping a check on RHR, basal temp and blood pressure is a good way to keep track of how your body is responding to change 🤗

Hi, thanks for your reply, my heart rate this morning was 57bpm, and my BP was 124/69, so all good there considering I'm 68 years old. I don't have a thermometer atm, but I have noticed I feel warmer, but wierdly it is 22 degress here in Norfolk today so might be that.

My belly is bubbling a bit ! lol, not sure it's the T3 or some dodgy prawns I ate last night 😆

I was wondering how long was it before other folks noticed a difference in their symptoms ?

All sounds good... except for the prawns 😕... depending on how fit you are I'd expect you HR in the 60's...

It is weirdly warm here too... generally T3 is fast acting compared to T4

What I would suggest is before upping your dose try taking it in one go as you might find this floods the receptors better than just taking split doses... timing also has an effect, for some it's first thing for others it's bedtime 🤗

The first thing I noticed was my brain cells began to talk to each other. It was brilliant! I also felt warmer, and after a couple of weeks, began to feel I could actually do stuff and not just sleep. I hope you will find you just suddenly feel better and this will grow.

Well I've been on T3 now for a full week, my BP is 128/65. BPM is 59. My temperature is 35.6.. Still not had any notable change in symtoms. I've upped the dose to 12.5 per day split over 2 doses. Feeling a bit disappointed that I am not even a little bit better 😕. Still unsure what to expect tbh.

Hi Miravet. Can I ask if things have improved for you yet? I am having a rather disappointing response to T3 also. So far no change in symptoms at all.
