Get paper copy of prescription and ring around pharmacies to see if anyone else is more helpful
Apparently Pharmacy can’t specify brand when they order
I am currently also having trouble getting Morningside T3. Usually my independent pharmacy is excellent but they haven’t been able to get right brand this month
I believe they can if it’s specified on your prescription and their wholesaler has it in stock. Beware though, sometimes a pharmacy system will allow them to order a a product indicting it’s in stock but it won’t be.
I’m afraid phronsias it will be a case of ringing around as there are lots of stock shortages not always indicated in the national alert systems since Brexit.
Depends if this is a stock issue. Have they explained why they can not get your brand?
Oh i really hope there isn't a shortage with Morningside. I have chemist saying same that can't specify what brand to wholesaler. If shortage then this is going to be near impossible to ever get hold of it. I better put my script in now
My Boots branch always manage to get my Mercury liothyronine and they order it in from some central hub they have, but remember their computer has it as Advantz.
Boots found Advanz on their system but the pharmacist said it was expensive, she would order 1 bottle for me and if it was Mercury liothyronine they would order more, Thanks for your help!!!
I wish we could swap, since I take only 10 mcg and am prescribed 20 mcg tablets when it's Mercury Pharma I feel awful because each time I forget that Mercury Pharma tablets have to be dissolved then for 10 mcg dose half of the liquid drunk and the rest discarded. Because I cut the tablets in half as with other brands I suffer and this isn't imagined - it was only seeing your post that reminded me. I had been wondering why I feel so tired, sad and unmotivated and now I've seen MercuryPharma I have the answer. (To those who always reply that cutting in half should be fine, I agree that it 'should' which is why I was doing that, but then one day I read the label because I was feeling underdosed and wondered if I were doing something wrong.)
