Please 'direct message' me with where to purchase T3.
Welcome to the forum tidexzz.
In your profile, you say 'I have an underactive thyroid and need T3 medication.'
Why do you think you need T3 medication?
Are you in the UK? Have you discussed this with your doctor?
Members with genuine information are more likely to share it with you if you share information about your thyroid situation.
Yes. I live in the UK. I've been diagnosed with hypothyroidism, and on levothyroxine for over 10 years. The daily dose I take now is 150 mcg. This medication has been useless and to no avail. I have an uphill battle with weight gain. And have paid a lot of money for ineffective diet pills. Extremely depressing.
First step BEFORE considering T3 is to get FULL thyroid and vitamin testing
Nether levothyroxine or T3 will work unless all four vitamins are at OPTIMAL levels
Is your hypothyroidism caused by autoimmune thyroid disease, also called Hashimoto’s, usually diagnosed by high thyroid antibodies
please add most recent results
For full Thyroid evaluation you need TSH, FT4 and FT3 tested
Also both TPO and TG thyroid antibodies tested at least once
Very important to test vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12 at least once year minimum
About 90% of primary hypothyroidism is autoimmune thyroid disease, usually diagnosed by high thyroid antibodies
Autoimmune thyroid disease with goitre is Hashimoto’s
Autoimmune thyroid disease without goitre is Ord’s thyroiditis.
Both are autoimmune and generally called Hashimoto’s.
Low vitamin levels are extremely common when hypothyroid, especially with autoimmune thyroid disease
20% of autoimmune thyroid patients never have high thyroid antibodies and ultrasound scan of thyroid can get diagnosis
In U.K. medics hardly ever refer to autoimmune thyroid disease as Hashimoto’s (or Ord’s thyroiditis)
Recommended that all thyroid blood tests early morning, ideally just before 9am, only drink water between waking and test and last dose levothyroxine 24 hours before test
This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip)
Private tests are available as NHS currently rarely tests Ft3 or all relevant vitamins

Come back with new post once you’ve got full thyroid including antibodies and vitamin results
Hi. Can you verify Lily905 Morningside 20mcg tablets are legit?
Come back with new post once you get full thyroid and vitamin results
You don’t even know yet if you need T3
I've requested my blood test results. But there's a problem from one GP surgery to another. No one has sent me my results yet.
You are legally entitled to printed copies of your blood test results and ranges.
The best way to get access to current and historic blood test results is to register for online access to your medical record and blood test results
UK GP practices are supposed to offer everyone online access for blood test results. Ring and ask if this is available and apply to do so if possible, if it is you may need "enhanced access" to see blood results.

In reality some GP surgeries still do not have blood test results online yet
Alternatively ring receptionist and request printed copies of results. Allow couple of days and then go and pick up.
You haven’t shared blood results but I can tell you that using T3 when it’s not indicated in blood results is a huge mistake. In particular, using T3 for weight loss is not advisable.
As you are new to the group you may not be aware that firstly the purchase of prescription medications without a prescription is not legal. Also, there are people who exploit this situation and will take your money but not send you the goods. Do read this post which highlights the risks.
When you receive a message with a recommendation, please do not assume it is genuine.
Scammers are joining the forum on a very regular basis and messaging members with their assertions that they have successfully purchased xyz medication from zyx source.
First, check the profile of the member that sent you the message. Are they a long term member with an active forum posting history? Or are they a recently joined member with little or no posting history?
Once you have what you think may be a genuine recommendation, please message a forum admin to ask whether the admin team have any feedback on the source you've been given.
Admins are not allowed to recommend sources, but we can tell you what, if any, feedback we've received about the source you've been given.
⚠️ Don't part with your much needed money until you are as sure as you can be that the source is genuine.
Scammers often join the forum and post a 'fake' story about their thyroid journey, that includes mention of self sourcing their thyroid meds. This is to encourage members to ask them where they purchase their medication without prescription.

That's not strictly true - or is only a partial answer.
If someone living in the UK tries to buy prescription-only medicines [POM] from a supplier also in the UK without a prescription then that is illegal.
But if someone living in the UK finds a supplier of [POM] in another country e.g they go on holiday to a country where the drugs they want can be bought in a pharmacy and buys them, then the drugs can be imported into the UK quite legally and can't be confiscated by customs, and don't need to be declared either.
The same is true of finding a supplier online, as long as that supplier is based in another country. Drugs can be ordered, the supplier will send the drugs through the post, and customs can't confiscate them. (Although there have been mistakes made and some people have had their perfectly legal drugs confiscated, and there is no redress that I'm aware of.)
There are exceptions to the above rules. Some drugs are controlled in the UK and can't be bought online without a prescription or brought into the UK from another country. For example, Tramadol is a controlled drug in the UK but can be prescribed by UK doctors. It may be possible to buy it abroad. But if someone tried to bring that Tramadol into the UK that would be illegal and they would have the drugs confiscated and there would be legal consequences.
The UK controlled drugs list can be found here :
gov.uk/government/publicati...
Note that thyroid hormones - either NDT, T4, or T3 in any form - are not controlled at all.
If you want to find out whether a drug is controlled look for it in that link I just gave. If you want to know if a drug is a [POM] in the UK you can check it out in the British National Formulary (BNF).
If you look up Levo in the above link :
bnf.nice.org.uk/drugs/levot...
then look at the Medicinal forms section :
bnf.nice.org.uk/drugs/levot...
you'll see it has the legal category [POM].
If you were to look for iron supplements in the BNF and looked up ferrous fumarate (for example) some of the listed supplements have a legal category of [P] i.e. a Pharmacy-Only medicine, some have "Not applicable"
bnf.nice.org.uk/drugs/ferro...
[P] products can't be sold in a supermarket but can be bought in UK pharmacies with Pharmacist oversight without a prescription.
The fact remains that legal or illegal it is risky to buy prescription medications online without a prescription.
and if taking phentermine definitely shouldn’t be considered adding T3 unless under care of endocrinologist
I've taken T3 hormone in the past. There were no adverse effects. I didn't feel any effect at all. In fact, it's exactly the same taking levothroxine. I stopped taking levothroxine for a period of time (6 months) a couple of times. There was absolutely no physical change at all. If it weren't for the weight gain and the Dr. insisting I have an underactive thyroid, I would never take them again...I'm approaching that point now.
