Went to my second endo appointment. So in my last post after a rollercoaster of a year and a half finally got to see him with a
tsh of 7.59 (0.35 - 04.94)
T4 13.8 (9.0 - 19.1)
No T3 as per usual
Went to endo and was told it went completely erratic because of covid (April 2022)
So my new results, assuming ranges are the same in the hospital are:
Tsh 0.28
T4 16.8
Again no T3 he asked by lab wouldn't do it. He asked me how I was feeling I said a good bit better, he said for me to stay on 100mcg levothyroxine and he will see me again in 12 weeks, he said if I have loads of diarrhea or a tremors, palpitations to let them no. Last few days very panicky and anxious. I just hope I'm not crossing into hyper again, he said I'm Still improving as I went from 75, taking 100 the last 8 weeks, I just hope it levels out!

Obviously just testing TSH and Ft4 is useless
You need to also test vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12
Recommended that all thyroid blood tests early morning, ideally just before 9am, only drink water between waking and test and last dose levothyroxine 24 hours before test
This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip)
Private tests are available as NHS currently rarely tests Ft3 or all relevant vitamins
