Hi,
I am starting my ndt with a 1/4 of a grain am and pm on a slow build. I wanted to know if ndt is best taken both morning and afternoon or can I take just morning? Fitting it around an Emory stomach in the afternoon is a bit tricky.

It is trial and error as to what suits you and your routine. Some folks spread it fairly evenly throughout the day while others do morning and bedtime and others just take one daily dose.
Hey there again :
Following on from your previous post/question - did you go to the doctor and do you now have a diagnosis of a thyroid health issue ?
Are your vitamins and minerals now optimal ?
I'm with Graves and post RAI thyroid ablation 2005 and take NDT and manage ok on just one daily dose which I take at around 2/3 in the early morning when I naturally wake up for a toilet break and then fall back to sleep waking up at around 6.00am.
It's generally suggested that for optimal utilisation any thyroid hormone replacement should be taken on an empty stomach and to wait around an hour or two if taking after food.
Hi, yes I have got a diagnosis and keen to start treatment as been feeling awful. I already feel a difference with a bit more energy.
I take, now, 1 grain in the morning with water well before food. I started on 1/4 grain about 5 years ago. I needed to add a bit more so I now take 1/8 grain late pm-ish. On holiday in summer I didn't need the extra 1/8 but do again now. Build up really slowly - 6 weeks before you increase a dose again if you are Hashi like me.
