Advice on changing from thybon 20 and Eltroxin 100 to Amour 60.

Hi all, My Doctor has changed me to Amour 60 from Thybon 20 and Eltroxin 100 .

Any advice on how to change.

Abbiryan,

You can do a straight switch (I did) because you are swopping T4/T3 containing meds for likewise.

However, I would say Armour 65mcg (1 grain) is made up of 38mcg T4 and 9 T3, which is significantly less than your previous meds of 'Thybon 20 and Eltroxin 100 '.

Based on this dosage you will most likely need a dose raise to about 2 grains to be equivalent. However, be aware some people find Armour T3 potent and have to reduce grains and add a little Levo back in to suit individual T4/T3 ratios.
