Split T3 dose

My endocrinologist has suggested splitting my 10mg dose of T3 to 5mg twice a day. Can anyone tell me what the advantages of this is compared to just one dose of 10mg please? Also should the second dose be on an empty stomach? Thanks

It's worth a try... some suit splitting their dose and others get on better on one dose, you kinda need to suck it and see with timings 🤗

Thanks for your reply. I may stick to 10mg in the morning for now and experiment with splitting the dose at a later date. The pharmacy only had 20mg tablets so am already splitting them. I don't know how confident I feel at quartering them yet, as they are do tiny.

Many people find it better to split as 2 doses roughly 12 hours apart….or as 3 doses roughly 8 hours apart

ideally only water an hour or 45mins before and after

Thank you for your reply. I will stay on 10mg in the morning for a couple more weeks as I have only been on that dose for a fortnight so far.

I take my t3 twice a day 8hrs apart. If I took in one hit I’d be very high for a few hours then lower the rest of the day. I find a smooth steady rhythm is best for me.
