Hi A friend of mine has recently been displaying possible hypothyroid symptoms - feeling cold, extreme fatigue aching joints etc.
She has taken a private test which says the results are normal, but I thought I would post them on here to check, to be on the safe side.
TSH 2.43 mu/L TSH levels normal (normal range 0.27 - 4.2 mu/L)
FT4 13.6 pmol/L FT4 levels normal (normal range 12 - 22 pmol/L)
FT3 4.7 pmol/L FT4 levels normal (normal range 3.1 - 6.8 pmol/L)
Thanks for any input.

was test done early morning
Ft4 is low
next step
Retest including thyroid antibodies and vitamin levels
Recommended that all thyroid blood tests early morning, ideally just before 9am and last dose levothyroxine 24 hours before test
This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip)
Private tests are available as NHS currently rarely tests Ft3 or all relevant vitamins
