I need to supplement folate as level is low. Looking online it’s a minefield, same products on different sites with vast differences in price for same product!

Please help!

Thank you

This is the one I used when I needed to boost my folate level, it says folic acid but it's definitely methylfolate:

amazon.co.uk/Vegavero%C2%AE...?

Nice clean supplement, no additives other than linseed flour as a filler in the capsules.

SeasideSusie 😊

Many thanks. Is it possible to open and put powder into water please?

All capsules can be opened, whether it's OK to put the powder water I couldn't say I'm afraid, I've never done that.

Thank you. It actually says-:

(65)-5-methytetrahydofolic acid.

When I look that up it seems to say it’s not the same as methytetrahydofolate.

Maybe that’s why it seems cheaper?

It is Quatrefolic which is used in many B Complex or folate supplements. It is the reduced/converted form. You can read about it here

quatrefolic.com/quatrefolic...

Quatrefolic® is the glucosamine salt of (6S)-5-methyltetrahydrofolate and is structurally analogous to the reduced and active form of folic acid so Quatrefolic® completely bypasses the « damaged » MTHFR conversion step and delivers a «finished» folate the body can immediately use without any kind of metabolization.

As I said, I used it and it was very effective.

Don't forget it's a German brand and sometimes things get lost in translation which is maybe why they've redesigned the bottle which doesn't yet appear to have become available in the UK but it is the same supplement:

Hi. I use Jarrow Methylfolate. Works fine for me and capsules are small as I have trouble swallowing pills.

Thank you.

I looked at Jarrow but they were £16 for 60. The ones above which I have ordered are £13.90 for 120.

Hi. I bought mine from iherb.com. £7.69 for 60 tabs. I buy four/five bottles at a time to keep price down. They take a while to get to me but no problems with them.
