Hi I'm on levothyroxine for hypothyroidism and take levothyroxine 75 and 50 on alternate days has worked really well apart from usual odd symptom you get from low vitamins exc my question is I'm now also taking bisoprolol 1.4 liw dose for arrhythmia which works but I'm starting with thyroid symptoms again I've been told by gp there's no interaction between the drugs and I take them 2 hours apart levothyroxine first ! I've started taking b12 again because of tinnitus sort of symptoms which usually settle down on b12 ?

Levothyroxine and bisoprolol
Welcome to the forum
Well that’s a very low dose levothyroxine
How long have you been on this dose
When were thyroid and vitamin levels last tested
Do you always get same brand levothyroxine at each prescription
ALWAYS test thyroid early morning, ideally just before 9am and last dose levothyroxine 24 hours before test
What vitamin supplements are you currently taking
For full Thyroid evaluation you need TSH, FT4 and FT3 tested
Also both TPO and TG thyroid antibodies tested at least once
Very important to test vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12 at least once year minimum
About 90% of primary hypothyroidism is autoimmune thyroid disease, usually diagnosed by high thyroid antibodies
Autoimmune thyroid disease with goitre is Hashimoto’s
Autoimmune thyroid disease without goitre is Ord’s thyroiditis.
Both are autoimmune and generally called Hashimoto’s.
Low vitamin levels are extremely common when hypothyroid, especially with autoimmune thyroid disease
Request GP do thyroid and vitamin testing
Err how is your dose of Bisoprolol 1.4 ? is that a typo ?
I’ve taken my Bisoprolol at various times with and without my Levo, not noticed any difference however Bisoprolol doesn’t suit everyone and although you are taking a tiny tiny amount it may not be right for you.

I take Bisoprolol, was on 1.25 for some time, now take 3.75mg. I take my thyroid meds around 3-5am when I regularly have to use the bathroom, and the Bisoprolol I take between 8-9am. The Bisoprolol has never had any effect on my thyroid levels. It's known that Propronolol can affect thyroid levels though so if your betablocker is changed this should be taken into account or avoided.
It might be a coincidence, so Dr might be right, but If you have symptoms, you should have a blood test.
