Hi All! I've been away from the forum for quite a long time. It was the help of members here that I found Thiroyd and it has helped tremendously. This forum is such a valuable resource and I thank you all for your contributions! I'm one of the many people on this that have been told their thyroid is fine, but I have all the symptoms of hypo when I'm not on Thiroyd; however, no doctor will prescribe.
Anyway...enough of that! I see that Thiroyd is no longer available because of the swine flu and I'm looking at Aspen Eltroxin and Euthyrox. It states it is Levothyroxine Sodium. My husband is on a prescription Levothyroxine because his thyroid was damaged due to radiotherapy, so I'm familiar with the prescription med. Can you tell me if the prescription Levo is also Levothyroxine Sodium. Is Eltroxin and Euthyrox just another brand name for Levothyroxine Sodium? He was put on a higher dose of Levothyroxine and had 75mcg left over, so I've been taking that and it works well. I just want to make sure I'll be taking the same thing. Many thanks for your help!

If you do a Google search for Aspen Eltroxin and Euthyrox you should see that they are levothyroxine sodium (or thyroxine sodium). I am on my tablet and can't link to PDFs.
What prescription brand is your husband's Levo? The box and patient information leaflet will say what it is, my Actavis says levothyroxine sodium.
Although theoretically they could make, for example, levothyroxine potassium, I am not aware of any product, anywhere, that is not levothyroxine sodium.
