Next steps in diagnosis and coeliac disease.

Hi I have a couple of questions if anyone could help please.

First I'm being test for celiac disease as well as hypothyroidism.

I've had one test thats has come back today saying im deficient in IGa, which I know can create a false negative coeliac test result.

My question is can it affect thyroid antibody test results? Mine came back within range.

I have also had my test results back from the blood test the endocrinologist sent to Cambridge. As she didn't think the results were right. As my T4 was low but TSH and antibodies were in range.

The results have come back the same my T4 was low.

I'm seeing the endocrinologist next month and I was just wondering what steps I should push for next?

To help get a diagnosis and some medication.

Thankyou Moviegeek13

so exactly what vitamin supplements are you now taking

GP should have prescribed LOADING dose vitamin D

That’s a total of 300,000iu over 6-8 weeks

You also need full iron panel test for anaemia

Have you had this done yet

Only add one supplement at a time and wait 1-2 weeks after each addition before adding another

Are you now taking daily magnesium supplement in evening

And separate B12 in morning after breakfast

And lastly daily vitamin B complex after breakfast

Meanwhile working on increasing iron rich foods in diet

Retest thyroid and vitamin levels 6-8 weeks after going strictly gluten free

Come back with new post once you get results

And meanwhile research getting a new endocrinologist

Have you started supplementing your low vitamin levels as per the reply to you here? healthunlocked.com/thyroidu...

I think you need to push for a diagnosis of secondary (central) hypothyroidism.
