When hypo we get low stomach acid which means we cannot absorb vitamins well from our food, regardless of a great diet. For thyroid hormone to work well we need OPTIMAL levels of vitamins. Have you recently or could you ask your GP to test levels of ferritin, folate, B12 & D3? Private tests are available, see link for companies offering private blood tests & discount codes, some offer a blood draw service at an extra cost. thyroiduk.org/help-and-supp...
I'm 24weeks now and I have been already increasing from 150/175mcg to 225mcg. It's not about the TSH, it' s always low for me but other hormones Ft4 and Ft3. I do need much higher doses to keep my Ft3 highl. My conversation is not so good as before. Numbers looked normal with 200mcg but I feel bad if my Ft3 is under 75%. I have lost two pregnancies due to hashi/hypo and had two premature births.
Hi. I was pregnant with Hashimotos (many years ago) and we decided to go with private Consultant for the duration. I was on 200 Levothyroxine all the way through until the last couple of weeks when I had to reduce. Consultant kept a close eye on my blood tests for every appt and if it wasn’t on his desk when I arrived , he would phone there and then for the results. I also had regular scans, more than if through NHS. Best decision we made as after a C section with my first baby, had a normal birth with Consultant in call for the delivery just in case. I know it’s not within everyone’s ability to get private care but we just did without luxuries and a family holiday! Hope this helps.
I got pregnant and I did not know I had hashimoto. My tsh was 11,5 at 11 weeks and I started with levothyrodine immediately. My ft3 and ft4 were normal. I had tsh high until like 4th month or more but now everything is ok. I have a wonderful baby boy. ☺️
I never took before any pills before pregnancy because I did not know I had a problem. I started with 50 and I arrived to 125. During my first trimester my tsh was always high like 6 or something. My doctor told that if tf4 and tf3 are okay there’s nothing to worry about but I was worried as well anyway.😃 During the last trimester I had a perfect tsh level and now I continue with Eutirox 75 and have to check soon if I have to change it or not. My baby is perfect and I am sure yours as well. ☺️
thanks for sharing your story, it helps me to ease crazy ideas and worries. This is comforting, as websites just say that if it’s above 2.5 THS you are on risk of miscarriage.
We’ve seen twice the baby heart beat so we are feeling confident.
I arrived to 40+3 😅 and my tsh was sooo high at 11 weeks! My doctor also told that I would miscarriage if I did not start with Eutirox! It is even strange that I got pregnant with so high tsh but it happened. So don’t worry, if you take your medicine, everything will be all right and your levels are lot lower than mine. If your doctor said not to worry, I would not. Let me know how it goes. ☺️
I am sure you won’t. 😊I checked actual data and I had for example tsh 3,970 on 19/02, 1,930 on 14/03 and my baby was born on 23rd of July. Your ft 3 and ft4 are ok? If yes, my endocrinologist told there’s no problem at all for a baby.
