Thyroid Calculators - unit conversion

Hi,

I'm the author of the thyroid calculator at thyroid.chingkerrs.online/.

I have some time to work on it and I want to add the ability to enter results in other units that are used worldwide. For example fT4 is measured in pmol/L in the UK but in ng/dL in the US.

I only want to add units that are used around the world, so which units should be included for each blood-marker?

I think US units would be a great improvement but are there other units I should also add?

I shall try and make it as easy to use as possible.

I think the Results output box will remain in SI/UK units so it remains easy for HealthUnlocked admins to advise on results.

In other news I've added a "Copy to CSV" file for easily copying the values into a spreadsheet.

I personally don't think you need to and it might be confusing for some. There has already been confusion over B12 as I mentioned when I contacted you, you had included the word "active" but a lot of the time total B12 was input but because the word active was there it was sometimes assumed that's what it was despite the vastly different range. As long as there are results with reference ranges then there will be a percentage and that's all that matters.

I think just keep it simple, it's fine as it is.

OK, simplicity is crucial. I am playing with a cleaner style (not yet live). Thoughts?

I quite like the different coloured lines as it makes it easier to follow across from the test title.

OK. Thanks, I'll put the bands back in.
