Morningside carbimazole help

Hi, my thyroid has relapsed, I previously had accord brand carbimazole and I was perfectly fine with these but I can’t find it anywhere, the chemists around me only have Morningside healthcare. I have anxiety about other brands because I’ve had reactions with breathing issues with some brands (mostly the ones with slight colour) I think I just need reviews of Morningside to make me feel less anxious about the brand

Sorry you have had a relapse.

I currently take morningside carbimazole, 5mg & 10mg alternating days. I’ve been ok with other brands & no issues with this one.

I feel happier about taking pills from blister pack. I prefer it to loose pills, which I’ve had before.

Do you know what ingredient causes issues?

What dose have you been restarted on?

Do you have thyroid function results (TSH, FT4 & FT3)?

Have you had thyroid antibodies previously tested? TRab & TSI.

In one of your posts a previous time you were put back on carbimazole your TSH was low but your FT4 & FT3 were in range.

There are other reasons for low TSH.

Thank you for replying to me, I would need to my results from the doctors all they told me on the phone was 40.4 so need to take 3 x 5mg a day, will need to have blood test in 2 weeks to test my WBC as it’s already low before starting carbimazole, then thyroid test in 6 weeks (if my WBC is dangerously low) to see if I need to adjust dose.

Accord brand is hard to get now and morningside is the only other brand that doesn’t contain ferrous oxide which I’m very sensitive to. I always had accord but have also had to switch to morningside but I’ve been okay on it x
