just wondering if anyone has a good recommendation for a good GP/endocrinologist in the sussex area or nearby who also could help with NDT/Armour. Have been on Levothroxine for years and my doc just puts it up or puts the dosage down. I really do need to find someone who understands and has other options ...
hope to hear from someone and REALLY appreciated. Glad I found this forum

So we can offer better advice, can you tell us more about your thyroid condition, eg when you were diagnosed, ongoing symptoms, current medication & dosage, plus blood test results (with ranges in brackets) for:
TSH
FT3
FT4
Plus any antibody and key vitamin tests (ferritin, folate, vitamins D and B12)
Please provide this information in a new post, as I will close this one to replies. As you have requested details for a named practitioner, forum guidelines request that this can only be via private message.
If your GP is unable to complete all the above tests (eg if TSH is within range, some surgeries may not be able to access FT4 and FT3 tests), you could look to do this privately, as many forum members do, for a better picture of your thyroid health: thyroiduk.org/help-and-supp...
It’s more cost effective to have the tests completed before seeing a private practitioner.
If anyone wants to Suggest an ENDO - PLEASE private message Christina - I will turn off replies if not already done. 😊👍
Just from reading lived experience on here, I would say there are a great number of things you could do before going straight for an Endo. If you do as Jaydee1507 says do a bit of a bio and include any other health issues and pop up a fresh post with any blood test results with their respective ranges (just no personal info like name), you may be able to get enough advice and help to get a handle on your own condition. Then it's easier to hold your own with a GP or an Endo.
I got well through finding this forum, getting some superb advice and reading up on my condition. I truly believe there are no short cuts and if you just put yourself in the hands of one clinician after another without knowing something about your condition, you simply won't recognise when you have landed a 'dud'.
If your GP has been yo-yo dosing you he will be erroneously using only TSH. Have a click on my face and you can see my profile, bio and posts it will give you an idea of what we are dealing with 😱
