Vitamin D

Hello all, I think I remember shaws posting a paper about vit D sometime ago, and I apologise if it was one of the other administrators, but I failed to save the post.

I would be very grateful if this could be reposted or I could be pointed to the original? I ask because I have been taking quite a high dose, 10,000iu a day and have had horrendous crippling leg pains which, after a bit of google research, might be down to the vitamin D dosage.

As I also take other supplements I wanted to check which might be the cause. I have stopped all except my magnesium at bedtime and felt better within a couple of days.

Many thanks one and all

We post regularly on here that it’s important to test vitamin D before starting on any supplement and to retest twice year when supplementing

Different people need different amount

Some people only need small dose ….400iu or 800iu

NHS easy postal kit vitamin D test £29 via

Interesting info that too much vitamin D can be an issue

Vitamin D over 200nmol ( 80ngml )

Too much vitamin D may affect gut bacteria/biome
