I had a flare up yesterday and took anti inflammatory, woke up with very sore tummy, took some honey, went back to bed. Any suggestions which food and drink to have as i dont want to make it worse. Ive taken my levo and t3 with a glass of water so far this morning. 🌸🌸🌸🌸Any advice would be most welcome 🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸

Thanks for the link, I dont like taking any pills but last night was a struggle, so i took ibuprofen 😕😕 i dont have Greek yoghurt but i do have lactose free kefir and lots of honey, which is my saviour for so many things.

Ibuprofen ( any NSAID) disagrees with me!

I have honey every day...love it!

I doubt, in this instance, that your sore tummy had anything to do with a thyroid problem

Lol, must be thankful for this, although since starting levothyroxine my tummy hasn't been as it once was, I take teva, but will be increasing after private test results end of this month, once im settled on t3, ill increase levo as suggested on previous post. Sometime i will also change brands to accord as it is lactose and mannitol free

slippery elm powder mixed in with warm water is very helpful in soothing an inflamed GIT. As a mucilage it’s soothes and coats the gut reducing inflammation. Aloe Vera does similar job. If ever I have to take something like a NSAID I have some slippery elm before. Hope you feel better soon

Hi, I will certainly give it a go. Any particular brand?

pukka for aloe Vera juice as it is cleanest and doesn’t have nasty preservatives, for the slippery elm powder I use the neal’s yard one as it’s pure slippery elm. Beware of some containing wheat powder etc. you csn make it into tea with bit of raw honey
