Hi, I have a gnawing pain in my tummy which has kept me awake last night, it comes and goes.
I take levothyroxine 100 and have hashimoto.
Any tips on what it may be and how to stop the pain would be great. Thank you 🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸

If it is causing you pain then a phone call to your GP would be sensible, nobody here can possibly tell you what it might be, it may have nothing at all to do with your thyroid.
Obviously you need FULL Thyroid and vitamin testing
Looking at previous posts, plantar fasciitis is often due to low Ft3. Low Ft3 often leads to low vitamin levels
For full Thyroid evaluation you need TSH, FT4 and FT3 tested.
EXTREMELY important to test vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12
Low vitamin levels are extremely common, especially with Hashimoto’s
Ask GP to test vitamin levels or test privately
Recommended on here that all thyroid blood tests should ideally be done as early as possible in morning and before eating or drinking anything other than water .
Last dose of Levothyroxine 24 hours prior to blood test. (taking delayed dose immediately after blood draw).
This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip)
Is this how you do your tests?
Private tests are available as NHS currently rarely tests Ft3 or thyroid antibodies or all relevant vitamins

As you have Hashimoto’s are you on strictly gluten free diet?
It's eased off now, I've had teaspoon of honey and peppermint tea.
I have been gluten free for a year or two, but I have recently had a bacon butty and some fruit loaf, maybe this could be the reason.
I have a medichecks ultra thyroid test kit, will arrange for blood draw ASAP and post on this great forum, (was meant do it pre covid lock down)
hi there, if still hurting, where exactly in relation to the belly button? agree with seaside susie that it would be best to see a doc if it’s not going away
Thanks for your reply, it's gone now, but I think it might of been my moment of weakness, I had some bread... Wish I hadn't now, but sometimes learning by my mistake is what I need to remind me to stay off gluten.
Incidentally, the pain was like a cigarette burning approx 3inches above my belly button. 🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸
