Magnesium glycinate - difference between brands

this post is really only aimed at a small group here who like me are ardent believers in the benefits of daily magnesium glycinate supplements.

I have for quite some while been very loyal to a specific brand and then thought it was time for a change to basically experiment whether another slightly higher quality brand would make any difference .

I am not sure we are allowed to mention brands here so won’t divulge the names involved but after a few weeks I am really surprised how much better the effects are from the higher quality version

So, my one piece of advice is do shop around before you settle on your favoured supplement as you may be missing out !

I am also saving some money as I can work off one tablet a day rather than 2 or 3.

interesting!

It’s ok to mention brands, I’d be interested to hear your experiences.

I’ve had this with B Complex. Thorne Basic B is far superior to Igennus B in my book.

As we all invest heavily in in supplements it’s very helpful to hear other’s experiences and not waste money on poor quality or ineffective products.

You can mention brands, you can mention where to buy them.

What can't be discussed openly on the forum but can be discussed in private messages are

1. Individual doctors and practitioners

2. Where to buy prescription only medication without a prescription

time for big reveal then. :)

Dropped brand called herbology to a new brand called 5greens 650mg at 40% elemental magnesium

There is some interesting feedback from customers on the thread selling this stuff

For me it has not massively changed sleep, not massively changed energy levels - but made a very noticeable improvement to digestion and bladder function (too much information to elaborate further!)

So try with all the usual caveats but I will not be changing back - I’m thrilled I found something that works so well for me !

I bought 2@180 capsules so I suppose I took a big bet that it would work …some interesting political views on the health industry expressed on the website

Can’t find anything on the website that gives info on the products’ provenance which always makes me a bit suspicious when manufacturers wax lyrical about how holier than thou they are but on the face of it, products seem super

I’ve just bought Higher Nature Super Magnesium 300mg - it’s a natural magnesium and has some good feedback. Be interested to know if anyone else has tried it. So far the only thing I’ve noticed is that it’s making my ankles itch at night.

a very minor warning - I moved to glycinate as the other versions of magnesium were harsh on the stomach - I find glycinate exceptionally gentle - this version is slightly less gentle than the other one - but it works better for me by being less gentle at the margins … if this worries you best not to buy …
