Hi wonder if anyone has had the Regenerus gene D102 test and been able to understand what it means?

Analyzed Gene D102

rs - ID - rs225014

Result - CT

Interpretation - Thr92Ala

No idea what CT means! Help!

Quote from Paul Robinson:

So, for instance, if you were looking for DIO2, you would search for ‘rs225014’ then look at the results there. ‘TT’ would mean you had no defect inherited from either parent. ‘TC’ or ‘CT’ would mean one parent gave you the defect and one did not (you are heterozygous for the defect). ‘CC’ would mean that you have both defective genes (you are homozygous, but as mentioned some labs may use ‘A’ instead of ‘C’).

Looks like you have 1 copy. Did you get DIO1 tested too? I have 1 of each and definitely affected!

it’s Dio2 (not D102)

Did you not get a phone consultation with Regenerus genetics specialist after test was done ?

and a report like this one

report very unclear and this page finishes mid sentence ….

As Jaydee1507 says CT result is heterozygous Dio2 positive

Meaning you inherited from one parent

Likely to benefit from addition of small doses of T3 prescribed alongside levothyroxine

Email Thyroid U.K. for list of thyroid specialist endocrinologists and doctors who will prescribe T3 if clinically appropriate

Just looking at previous posts

You’re already on T3

Still on 2 x 5mcg

And Have you had dose increase in levothyroxine?

Or still only 50/75mcg

Always same brand levothyroxine?

Are you gluten free/dairy free

I’m taking 15mg T3 (5 in morning 10 in afternoon) 75mg levo. Yes gluten free. Not dairy free as yet. Sugar gives me problems unfortunately so cutting back on that

suggest you try 5mcg waking, 5mcg mid afternoon and 5mcg at bedtime

Many people on T3 find taking small dose T3 at bedtime gives deep sleep

When do you take your levothyroxine?

Waking or bedtime

which brand is levothyroxine

When were vitamins last tested

I take liquid levo first thing when I wake up. Nearly always same brand. I will try taking a T3 at night time. It’s been a while since I have vitamins tested. I take a fair few supplements, assuming Im lacking in them, rightly or wrongly

Always Test vitamin levels at least annually

Exactly what are you supplementing

Liquid levothyroxine, usually most members seem to split this as 2 doses

Half waking…..half late afternoon or at bedtime

Personally I split my levothyroxine tablets as half waking and half at bedtime…..and find it much “smoother” …….plus 5mcg T3 waking, 5mcg mid afternoon and 5mcg bedtime

I’m taking selenium, Vit c, d & b magnesium and zinc. I will try the levo split into two doses as I’ve never done that before, thank you for suggesting this
